Michael Aschauer (a.k.a. m.ash)
Michael Aschauer is an artist, undisciplined researcher, coder and freelancer living in Vienna.
His works and projects have gained international recognition through numerous exhibition and festival participations, including an Award of Distinction and a Honorable Mention at the Prix Ars Electronica.
His work is focused around the development of depictions for a contemporary society that is amongst others increasingly shaped by technology and technopolitcal issues - as a consequence he is working and hacking on GNU/Linux for more than a decade - and a society that is seriously heading towards instability and in need of serious changes...
